The "Gesellschaft zu Fraumünster" was founded in 1988, at the time of the traditional Sechseläuten procession in Zurich. Its aims are, in particular:
To increase general awareness of the history of the Fraumünster Abbey and present its cultural heritage.
To preserve the memory of women who held a prominent place in the history of Zurich
To promote contacts and social interaction amongst members
To support cultural and charitable endeavours
